Description : McDowell’s No1 is a brand that has been deeply entrenched among friends for 120 years, est. in 1826.Over 52 million cases sold every year, it is ranked as the largest selling Whisky Brand in the world as per World’s Million case spirits brand 2020 ranking. The brand is named for Angus McDowell, a Scottish businessman. His company was bought out by Vittal Mallya’s United Breweries in 1951.

Color : Golden color

Distillation : Scotch whiskey made with either malt or grain, the distilled spirit must be aged in oak barrels for at least 3 years and each bottle must show the age of the youngest whiskey used to make the blend. McDowell’s No.1 whisky is a blended Indian whisky, created by combining imported Scotch malts and locally produced malt whiskies.

Aroma & Tasting Notes :  There’s some barley sugar, soft fruits, and chocolate/vanilla and a spicy, woody note. On palate it is soft with a rounded peachy fruity taste, which gives it a light, smooth and warm finish.
